We believe...

... in the God revealed in the Bible as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As the creator of heaven and earth, God invites humanity to participate in communal relationship with Him, to care for his people, and to care for His creation.
Gen. 1 & 2; Job 36:26; Psalm 102:12

We believe that humanity rebelled against this invitation, resulting in sin and shame, and a destiny of death, but God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, into our world to change our destiny, fully restoring the relationship between God and humankind with a promise of eternal life.
Gen 3; Col. 1:15; Is. 7:14; Lk. 1:27-34; Eph 5:2; 1 Cor. 15:22

Jesus accomplished this by entering the depth of humanity's fallen state through His own death on a cross. The importance of Jesus’ death and resurrection cannot be overstated, as it is through the resurrection of Christ that sin and death were conquered and the door was opened for mankind to once again be in the relationship with God they were originally created for. It is only through the atoning work of Jesus Christ that we can be saved from sin and be reunited with God, with creation, and with each other.
Matt 17:23; 1 Cor. 15; Matt 28

We believe that even after Jesus ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit still patiently appeals to all people to be reconciled to God, and still works among his believers.
2 Peter 3; 2 Cor. 5:19-21

We believe that even after Jesus ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit still patiently appeals to all people to be reconciled to God, and still works among his believers.  It is the Spirit who works in the lives of the followers of Jesus, equipping them to build up the body of Christ and proclaim the good news of God's love to our world. We also believe that the Holy Spirit desires to empower all believers, both naturally and supernaturally, for the purpose of proclaiming the love of God demonstrated in Jesus Christ to those who do not yet know Him, and for ministering to one another's needs.
1 Cor. 12:7-11; 2 Cor. 5:19-21; 2 Peter 3

We believe that Jesus will one day return to the earth for a final judgment of sin so that He may bring all things back into harmony with God, and that God’s ultimate desire is that every person would be fully reconciled into the family of God.
John 5:21-31; Col. 1:20; Matt. 18:14; 2 Peter 3:9

Our hope is in the story of Jesus as the fullest revelation of God's heart and character, and the incomprehensible love He has for us as His children.
John 14:7, Colossians 2:9; Romans 8:38-39
